Be the girl with the perfect bag for every season with our great guide. Here are some tips for choosing a great handbag for you!

Autumn

Take a cue from the weather when deciding which bag to accessorize with. In autumn, the leaves have beautiful burnt orange, red and yellow hues. Celebrate fall with pumpkin colored purses, brown leather handbags, and suede camel bags. We suggest medium sized bags so you can show off your great bag, and you’ll match the pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner!

Winter

Think white is just for summer? Think again. The hot trend is to accessorize with white designer handbags in winter. Take the chill away with white handbags. If you’re wearing a long white coat, check out black and white handbags so your handbag doesn’t get lost in your beautiful coat. If you’re donning a dark peacoat, try tan colored bags that really stand out. We recommend hobo bags big enough to fit your scarf and gloves.

Spring

Hear the birds chirping? Spring has sprung with floral handbags. You don’t need to sport a bag with huge flowers all over it – opt for a cream colored bag with hints of floral designs. A bright bag will help you break out of those winter blues and put that smile back on your face! Think colors like light blue, soft pinks, and lavender. Green is also a great color for spring. Be sure your bag is large enough to fit an umbrella for all those pesky April showers!

Summer

It’s getting hot out there! The best designer handbags for summer are light and breezy. You don’t need a large leather purse lugging you down. For the day, bright bags are perfect, like lime greens, sky blues, and hot pinks. Just make sure they don’t clash with your outfit. For all those summer dinner parties you’ll be attending, try stylish, yet classy, python print handbags. And remember to keep your bag small!

Lucky Hobo Bag – List of Hot Selling Hobo Bags From Lucky Brands

When searching for a Lucky Hobo bag, shoppers may have one specific name or look in mind, or they may want to browse to check out what sorts of looks and styles can be found. I can tell you that the different bags range from “Boho” styles that are seriously stylish to more traditional looks – and there are quite a number of different bags to choose from.

Here is a list of the hot selling hobo style bags from Lucky Brands:

Leather Hobo Bags – As one might expect, these bags range from slouch styles to stash bags, and can be found in quite a number of sizes for different women’s needs. The colors for these bags include everything from bright and bold to warmer and traditional colors. Also included in this category of bags are styles that include patch bags, Boho styles and more.

Patchwork Hobos – Here is a fun category of bags and again these range broadly in looks and design. The most popular of these bags appears to be the “Diana Boho” hobo, a conglomeration of different fabrics, designs and colors. Personally a patchwork bag would not fit my own personal preferences but these are most definitely an exception – they’re gorgeous and perfect for ladies who have a desire for a more “earthy” or Bohemian style.

Theodora Hobo Bag – This specific bag seems to be looked for specifically than any other single style of bag in this lineup. It can be found in either leather or suede versions and also has a sort of Boho appeal to it, complete with “peace” charms. My favorite color with this bag is the “Bourbon” leather which is a darker shade of brown with just a hint of red.

Even though the list of Lucky Hobo Bag styles above are the most popular there are actually quite a number of different bags to choose from – sure to match just about any woman’s tastes and needs.

How to Clean Your Handbag

Being a vital part of a woman’s wardrobe, a handbag needs to be cleaned at regular intervals. This is necessary for keeping things organized within it as well as for effective maintenance. No one would like to carry a handbag that looks dirty and grimy. So, cleansing the handbag is extremely important if you want to increase the durability of your handbag. The things required for good cleaning of your handbag are:

1. Clean cloth
2. Warm water
3. Mild detergent
4. Vacuum cleaner
5. Suede cleaner
6. Leather cleaner

The principle methodologies that are observed with respect of effective cleaning of the handbags are:

Every handbag of average quality comes with a set of instructions. One needs to properly follow the instructions given and understand them thoroughly. If any one deviates from them, there are maximum chances that she might end up destroying the look of her handbag. This is due to the fact that lot of handbags are made of sensitive materials and if the temperature of water is not at the regulated level, it may affect the leather or the glossy finish of the handbag. So, you need to follow the instructions extremely carefully.

Then, this is the most obvious step that one needs to follow. She must empty the contents of her handbag completely prior to proceeding with the cleaning exercise. Every single object, however minute it might be, must be removed from the handbag. All the chambers must be thoroughly checked.

Then, after you have removed all the belongings from your handbag, you need to open it as much as you can, this will provide a better view and you can find objects that might have been hidden from view. Then, you overturn it and using your hands, shake out any dirt or debris that has accumulated in the corners of the handbag.

If the lining of the handbag is tough, then use a vacuum cleaner to clean the interior in a gentle fashion, which should include the zip-up pockets.

Now, you can turn on the exterior of the handbag. If the material of your handbag is made of fabric, you can opt for dry cleaning or even spot clean it by using warm water. If you are using warm water, make sure that it is not ‘hot’ but ‘lukewarm’. Make a gentle solution of warm water and a mild detergent and take a white piece of cloth and dip it in the solution and blot it on the exterior of your handbag. One needs to remember here that at under no circumstances, she should rub the handbag.

If it s a leather purse, it would be a better idea to go for leather cleaner. If it is a suede handbag then go for suede cleaner.

If the handbag is made of alternate materials like, wood, plastic or vinyl, you need to clean them with a piece of damp cloth only. A dry cleaner is the best option for handbags made of velvet or silk.

Did you know that even the handbag market is hurting in our recessive economy? Our recession is not limited to a banking crisis. People are not buying things that they want. They are limiting themselves primarily to what they need. This is why companies are lowering the price on their purses and assessors across the board. There is also another major reason why you can now find cheap designer handbags. There are many different types available on the market. Different women have different needs. Some of them prefer larger varieties which can store a great quantity of personal items. Others like smaller bags because they are able to look classy and yet carry with them the essentials in a very limited supply.

One of the largest trends is having the ability to carry a book with you. Many women are on the go and may be flying to a different destination and require reading material. Hardbound books are very popular right now and would be impossible to put in a smaller carry-on. There are also in between sizes which portray a more professional appearance depending upon the outfit that you choose. This would allow you to present yourself in a more dignified way and at the same time bring your reading material in a paperback or even a Kindle.

Keep Your Handbag Close To Your Heart

Thieves will do just about anything to get their hands on your handbag. If this comes as a surprise then you’ve probably been living under a rock, and it may just be safer to stay there–at least you know your purse won’t get stolen. Thieves often attack women because they think they are easier targets. But don’t let a crafty thief get the best of you. Ladies bags should be kept close to their hearts, literally.

Outsmart a bag-snatcher by keeping your Gigi Chantel purse hooked to a strap over your chest. Most thieves aren’t going to go as far as to reach underneath your coat to grab your handbag. And, if they do it’s a great time to give them that swift kick in the groin you’ve been saving for a rainy day.

Suede Handbag – How to Take Good Care of It

A suede purse is the perfect fashion accessory today and it has become a dream possession of every fashion conscious woman. However, since the suede leather is created from the lower layer of the lambskin leather, it tends t get dirty very easily as it absorbs dirt and moisture at a rapid rate. To avoid such problems with your suede handbags and prolong their life, you must follow some simple steps to ensure that you are taking good care of them. With proper regular care, you will be able to use your favorite suede handbags for many seasons to come.

You will require a few important things to take care of your favorite suede handbag. To clean and protect your handbags from dirt and moisture, you will require a suede brush, suede protector, suede cleaner and a hard rubber eraser. It is best to buy a suede cleaner and water repellent along with your suede handbag to ensure good care of your new handbag from the very beginning. You will need to spray two layers of the suede protector on your handbag to ensure proper protection. It is advisable that you complete this procedure on the outside and in the absence of strong wind, so that your suede handbag easily absorbs the protector liquid.

For the daily care of your handbag, you can brush it gently with the suede brush to keep away dust and other particulate matter from the surface of the bag. However, do remember to brush in one direction only. Multi-directional brush strokes will damage the texture of your suede handbag. If possible, read the instruction booklet that every manufacturer provides with their suede handbags, which contains instructions about the proper brushing technique to maintain your handbag’s condition.

The most important aspect that you must consider while taking care of suede handbags, is that you must keep them dry. Moisture harms the texture and softness of suede, damaging your handbag considerably. If you wish to clean stains off your suede handbag, you can use the hard rubber eraser to rub off the stain off its surface. Under no circumstances, should you use soap on your handbag. Always remember to stuff paper in it when you want to keep it in storage so that it is able to retain its original shape. These are the few simple steps, which you must follow to take good care of your suede handbag.

Designer Handbags

Designer handbags and designer purses or wallets will always be an important part of women’s fashion, that’s a given, but to try and stop the secondary market of faux designer handbags and designer purses is a futile endeavor. It’s a market whereby one drives the other and the need for supply and demand is driven by the cost and desire.

Personally, I have a tendency to notice the color matching value of handbags or purses more so, than actually the real or faux value of what I see. If the handbag or purse compliments the ensemble, then that is the winning combination that the person wearing the grouping has achieved for me.

How to Tell If A Purse is Fake

1096654680_4239572431_thumbnailOne of the biggest problems in the designer purse industry comes from individuals, or even whole companies that make a living off selling fake purses. In fact, they often are so well crafted that it is very difficult to distinguish it from the real thing.

For instance, someone I know works at a factory Coach outlet and she was telling me about a Coach wallet that was returned to the store. The manager inspected the wallet to ensure authenticity and after the customer left, handed the wallet to my her to have it put back on the floor. It was at this point when the wallet was more closely inspected on the inside that the lining in one of the flaps was slightly coarser and brittle than the authentic wallets are. Needless to say, had that feature not been spotted, the wallet would have probably passed on to some other customer with them thinking they had a real designer item.

The movement of imitating designer items, especially purses, has always been around, but became increasingly popular when a few select celebrities glorified it in the media. Since then, the trend slacked off as more people can afford name-brand and the celebrities typically get one or two new purses for free if they promote the new line. However, the fake purse industry is still going strong and will as long as they are able to find new ways to distribute their wares.
Things To Look For
Location – One very obvious way to tell if a purse is fake is the location it was purchased. If you bought it off the street in a city such as New York, perhaps China Town, then you can be sure that it is probably a knock off. It might be very possible that the purse could be real if the person selling it has someone working in the distribution of that designer’s purse, however it is not likely that this is the case.

Names – Another very obvious way that just screams “fake” is the name of the designer. This is not as common as it use to be, but there are still a number of products that get more openly marketed, even legally, as knock offs of designer goods. In this instance, they will use easily mistaken names on their products.

Material – One of the hardest features of a fake purse to recognize is the material. Some materials, stitching, patterns, etc. are easier or harder to distinguish than others. This is because the fake purse will originally be bought at a factory store, or directly from the designer, taken home or to the business it will be duplicated from, and then returned or kept for future duplications. This way, the person duplicating the item will know exactly how to model their fake purse or handbag.

The Internet and Purse Parties have made the distribution of fake purses and handbags increasingly harder to detect. This is because you are placing your faith in the honesty of the seller. With the Internet, purchasing items off of EBay is a little more legit as you can read the descriptions of past sells. However, at Purse Parties, you often know the person you may buy a purse from, they may not even know that the purse they are trying to sell is a fake. However, with a little discretion and some common sense, you can be a good bit wiser in your spotting of fakes.
