If I took an impromptu poll of my friends and acquaintances, I would probably find that most of them are knee-deep in credit card debt. I’ve managed to avoid the morass of mounting interest rates and back payments, but it’s not because I don’t love to shop. On the contrary, I’m at the mall every weekend and doing plenty of online store perusing in between.

The main difference between my cash-strapped friends and me is that I set my sights on more affordable fashion obsessions and spend wisely. Simply swapping one belt for another can change the entire attitude and personality of a given outfit. In addition to focusing on accessories, I am always on the lookout for discount designer handbags, shoes and clothing.
